Habitat For Humanity Inda (HFH India) is a non-profit organisation building strength, stability and self-reliance through affordable housing and sanitation facilities. Habitat For Humanity India with support from LG India implemented Integrated Community Development Program (Housing and Sanitation) project in Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra. The project aimed at providing decent housing and sanitation facilities to marginalized families in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh and Khed block in Pune district of Maharashtra.
The objective of the project is to conduct a comprehensive assessment of Integrated Community Development Program as is vital to assess its success in improving the lives of marginalized communities. The evaluation not only examined the project’s effectiveness against its stated goals but also focused on capturing technical compliance, stakeholder involvement, and lessons learned. These outcomes will provide valuable insights and recommendations to strengthen future interventions by HFH India and other organizations involved in the development sector.
The endline evaluation employed a robust mixed-methods approach, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of project impact. Qualitative and quantitative data were gathered through document reviews, desk research, individual interviews, and focus group discussions. The evaluation was guided by the OECD-DAC framework, with customized indicators assessing Relevance, Effectiveness, Efficiency, Impact, Sustainability, and Coherence. Samavit team used KOBO toolbox to collect the primary data from the beneficiaries using structured questionnaires.
Samavit conducted the endline evaluation for the Integrated Community Development Project. Samavit conducted primary and secondary research for the project. The data collected through the project was analysed and based on the data collected an endline evaluation report was provided to the HFH India team. The report provided HFH India team with the overall success of the projected implemented by them and recommendations were given based on the project.
