New Leaf Dynamics is the innovator and founder of carbon-neutral refrigeration technology, which has several manifestations. The most contemporary among those is the GreenCHILL 2.0, which is a device that produces ice from bioenergy, without over-taxing the environment. The device, which has unmatched potential in several geographical and technical domains, is ready to be marketed and its market demand needs to be assessed.

Samavit was entrusted with assessing the market intelligence of GreenCHILL 2.0. This assessment was supposed to be conducted across three value chains of Industrial applications such as cooling in Ready Mix Concrete, Fisheries (both marine and inland fishery) and underground mines. Another objective was to suggest the NLD team about potential applications of their device.

This objective was attained by following a two-pronged approach: One, by interviewing several industry level experts who provided specialist’ perspective and two, by conducting full-scale in-depth primary research through field studies, into the different value chains where the market intelligence of GreenCHILL 2.0 was sought. Thus, by snowballing with around 60-70 respondents, a fairly well representative study was conducted which was concluded in a report containing a roadmap for the device manufacturers.

The study, being supplemented with secondary findings, ensured:

• Suitable representations from all the segments of relevant value chains.
• The value chains were evenly researched and then properly analyzed based on primary and secondary data.
• A sound basis of recommendation was created and presented in a coherent and logical report format.
