Kshamta Foundation works for ‘Women Empowerment’ through training and capacity building of poor and enterprising women. Financial education of women is an important tool that help them to improve their knowledge, attitude, and behavior towards financial planning and budgeting, responsible borrowing, insurance, pension, social security, digital payments, frauds management, etc.
The objective of digital financial literacy training was to equip the field team of Kshamta Foundation so that they could conduct financial literacy sessions with the microfinance clients (women borrowers) on financial planning and budgeting, responsible borrowing, insurance, pension, social security, fraud management, etc.
Desk research was conducted while preparing a detailed training module on digital financial literacy. In person workshop was also held in Odisha. On the spot KAB (knowledge, attitude, behavior) assessment was conducted amongst the participants that attended the TOT session.
A detailed digital financial literacy module was prepared by referring to the financial literacy modules and materials available at NCFE, RBI, IRDAI, SIDBI, ILO, PMJDY, PMJJBY, PMJJSBY, PFRDA and other credible sources. An interactive in person TOT workshop was held at Rourkela, Odisha. The field team working in Odisha and Jharkhand attended the workshop.
