Women’s World Banking (WWB) is a global non-profit organization dedicated to promoting women’s financial inclusion and economic empowerment by providing tools that enable informed financial decision-making. Under this project, WWB engaged Samavit to design and deliver training modules for Block Resource Trainers [Block Managers – Financial Inclusion (BM-FI)] to strengthen the capacity of Business Correspondence (BC) Sakhis. The workshops were conducted in Maharashtra, utilizing an interactive PowerPoint presentation to deliver the Training of Trainers (TOT) sessions.

The key objectives behind the training of trainers (TOT) of BMFIs are –

  • Understand the “1GP, 1BC Sakhi” mission within the Financial Inclusion context.
  • Clarify the roles and responsibilities of a BC Sakhi.
  • Recognize the segmentation of BC Sakhis and its significance.
  • Equip BM-FIs to refresh BC Sakhis’ Knowledge, Attitude, Skill, and Habit (KASH).
  • Enable BM-FIs to mentor BC Sakhis over time.
  • Develop essential skills to be effective trainers and mentors.

Secondary research was conducted to identify BC Sakhis’ challenges and innovative solutions that could enhance their business and income. Based on these insights, training modules were developed, and a TOT session was delivered, equipping participants with the skills, knowledge, and techniques to effectively support BC Sakhis in business growth.

Samavit created training presentations and a comprehensive trainer’s manual for the TOT workshop and delivered the training in the form of 1-day workshops. The trainer’s manual included interactive activities, games, role-plays, audio-visual tools, and other resources to help trainers create an engaging session for BC Sakhis. Additionally, Samavit conducted a pre-workshop assessment, followed by a post-assessment and participant feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of the training sessions.
